We have had many riders out competing through the rain hail and shine of the last month, I often wonder if we are all mad when Lulu and I try to dry wet rugs and clean muddy gear for days after. The horsey passion knows no boundaries and its wonderful we can all share it with our Wyena mates, what fun we have!
Last weekend we enjoyed a trail ride at Yarra Brae. Although the forecast wasn't good, the weather was kind and the sun shone down on us as we rode through the beautiful 300 acres of YB. We saw deer and kangaroos and tried out the XC jumps. Thank you Faye for having us at Yarra Brae Riding Centre and the Knipes for organising our BBQ lunch. Amanda Hoskins your slice was delicious!
Wyena Combined Training is fast approaching (10th August) as we are only a small club we need all our members to help out both on the Saturday(setting up) and on the Sunday (comp day).
We have changed Grade 1 and Grade 2 from PC grades to open grades respectively. Get your entries in ASAP as last year it was very popular and we had to turn riders away.
If you are unable to help out please let Sam or Karen know as soon as you can. We are counting on all families being there when allotting jobs for the weekend.
The Rally Plan and Duty Roster are now available on the Rally Page. Instructors this month are Leah Simmons, Jess Stevens, Maddy Rush and Faye Flood. If you have anything in particular you would like to do at the rally please let me know and I will try to incorporate it into the rally plan.
